OpenSea

In 2020, OpenSea Music merged with Jazz Cowboy Productions. The purpose of this platform is to make it easy for Australian music to be found, purchased and used in a range of business settings. And by making it easier for customers, new revenue streams for independent musicians are created. We provide content creators and business owners with access to a diverse catalogue of unique music by independent Australian artists for licensing in their productions. All of our music is cleared, mastered and ready to use in films, TV, brand campaigns, advertising, podcasts and other projects needing music. For independent artists, Jazz Cowboy Productions offers an opportunity to reach new and bigger audiences and to build new revenue streams from licensing fees and APRA/PPCA royalties. “With the changing state of the record industry, we are excited to be able to offer a new licensing model which we believe is both artist friendly and user friendly for visual media creators. Our goal is to provide content creators with great original music to use in their productions while also helping provide artists with a means to sustain and grow their careers.”

Growth Trajectory

The company aims to expand its reach by targeting film, TV, brand, video, and gaming projects for sync licensing opportunities. They are also focusing on curating playlists tailored for different business types and offering introductory discounts to gain initial traction. Further growth relies on continuously innovating new revenue streams for independent musicians and solidifying partnerships within the Australian music industry.
