Building a Brighter Future: Stonewall Columbus Raises $276K to Boost LGBTQ+ Visibility and Connection

Stonewall Columbus is thrilled to announce that we have successfully raised $276,281 in our latest funding campaign—an achievement that marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to increase visibility, inclusion, and connection within the LGBTQ+ community. Since our founding in 1981, our mission has been clear: to elevate the voices of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and broader LGBTQIA+ community. Over our 40-year legacy, we have witnessed Columbus evolve into the 14th largest and one of the most LGBTQIA+ friendly cities in the nation, and our work has grown alongside this vibrant community. This funding raises the bar even higher, enabling us to further enhance our comprehensive programming—from our popular Columbus Pride event that now welcomes over 700,000 visitors, to our innovative Lavender Listings that curates local products and services from LGBTQIA+ friendly businesses and organizations. The funds will be strategically allocated to sustain and expand our community services, ensuring the Stonewall Columbus Community Center and its diverse initiatives continue to fulfill the evolving needs of every member. As we build our future brick by brick, we will remain anchored by the history that defines us and propelled by a mission that embraces every facet of who we are. Our commitment to visibility, inclusivity, and connection remains unwavering, and this new investment reinforces our promise to stand up and unite a community where every individual—regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, or any other difference—can thrive.
