As one of the country’s leading health sciences universities and the foremost driver in south/central Texas funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), this new financial boost will empower our comprehensive mission to make lives better®. With a robust operating budget of $806.6 million supporting our four campuses in San Antonio and Laredo, this funding will specifically be allocated toward expanding our groundbreaking medical research initiatives and enhancing user-centered patient care services. It also supports cutting-edge projects in our schools of medicine, nursing, dentistry, health professions, and graduate biomedical sciences, ensuring that our community continues to benefit from the innovative health care solutions for which we are renowned.
