Plumpton College Fuels Environmental Innovation: £1.2M Funding Boost for a Greener Future in the South Downs

Plumpton College is excited to announce a major milestone with the successful raise of £1,200,000 in new funding—a testament to the institution’s unwavering commitment to excellence in land and environmental science education. Nestled in the heart of the South Downs National Park in East Sussex, Plumpton College has long been a beacon of inspiration and innovation, being one of only 12 independent colleges of its kind nationally. This infusion of funds will play a pivotal role in further enhancing the college’s outstanding practical and demonstration facilities, ensuring that students obtain an immersive, hands-on learning experience that is crucial for their future careers. The funding will also enable the further expansion of a broad specialist curriculum that spans 19 course areas. This curriculum is designed to cater to a diverse student body, including school-based programmes for 14 to 16-year-olds, specialized courses for 16–19-year-olds, apprenticeships, a host of degree courses, as well as tailored programmes for employers and adults seeking to advance their expertise.
