NHHF Secures $1.08 Million Grant to Drive Hispanic Health Innovation

We are excited to announce that the National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) has successfully raised $1,080,000 in our latest funding round. Established in 1994 in Washington, DC, NHHF is a pioneering 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting educational and research initiatives aimed at improving the health of Hispanics across the nation. This significant financial boost is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our partners, donors, and the broader community to foster a healthier future for Hispanic populations. The funds will be strategically allocated to further our mission by enhancing our existing programs while also spearheading new initiatives that bridge the gap in health disparities. Over the years, NHHF has made remarkable strides in shaping the future of Hispanic health professionals. Notably, our National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship Program, launched in 2004, has awarded over $1.740 million in scholarships, empowering more than 336 outstanding Hispanic health professional students to achieve their educational and career aspirations. In addition, our Corporate Advisory Board, established in 2005, continues to provide invaluable insights and guidance to our Board of Directors, ensuring that our programs remain innovative and impactful. More recently, the creation of the National Center for Hispanic Health Research in 2021 has bolstered efforts towards enhanced Latino physician mentoring and clinical research participation. This newly raised capital will not only bolster existing scholarship and research programs but also support community engagement efforts, outreach initiatives, and policy advocacy while ensuring that every dollar is purposefully directed towards creating lasting change.
