Henshaws Secures £1 Million to Empower Lives and Expand Opportunities for People with Disabilities

Henshaws is proud to announce a successful funding round that raised £1,000,000, a milestone that will help us further our mission to support people living with sight loss and other disabilities in achieving their ambitions and leading independent, fulfilling lives. This pivotal investment underscores the belief that everyone, regardless of circumstance, deserves the opportunity to build the skills and confidence needed to get more out of life. With this new injection of capital, we will expand and enhance our diverse range of specialist services across the north of England. Our award-winning services include a further education College for 16-25 year-olds in Harrogate, where we empower young people with practical skills and academic support, as well as an Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough, which inspires creativity and offers therapeutic activities. In addition, our dedicated Housing and Supported Living services across Yorkshire and the North East provide crucial assistance and safe living environments. Community Services in Manchester and Liverpool deliver independence training and social groups that foster meaningful connections and help individuals navigate daily challenges. The funds will be strategically allocated to bolster our educational programs, upgrade facilities, and introduce innovative initiatives that further our commitment to accessible, high-quality support. These improvements will not only enhance service delivery to our existing beneficiaries but will also allow us to extend our reach to more individuals in need.
