Game-Changer: Hockey Belgium Secures €9.4 Million Investment to Propel Field Hockey into a New Era

The Royal Belgian Hockey Association (ARBH/KBHB) is thrilled to announce a landmark funding milestone, raising 9,400,000 euros to enhance the future of hockey in Belgium. This exceptional achievement not only underscores the strong support from partners, stakeholders, and the hockey community, but it also marks a significant step forward in our mission to further develop and promote the sport across the nation. With 100 clubs and 52,000 active members from every corner of Belgium, hockey has expanded its reach and influence, becoming a unifying force that brings families and communities together. The investment will play a crucial role in nurturing grassroots programs, developing state-of-the-art training facilities, and supporting elite teams such as the Red Lions, who have proudly claimed the top ranking globally and recently secured prestigious championships. The funds will also contribute to enhancing our flagship events, such as the European Championships, World League, and Hockey Pro League, events that have not only bolstered the sport’s reputation internationally but have also been instrumental in driving membership growth over the last decade. As hockey continues to inspire values like respect, fair-play, and team spirit, this funding will ensure that both the men’s and women’s teams are well-equipped to compete at the highest levels.
