Etana Energy Secures R75 Million Investment to Power South Africa’s Clean Electricity Future

Etana Energy purchases electricity from a diverse portfolio of Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and prosumers, then supplies it to customers connected to Eskom’s grid and, where applicable, municipal distribution networks. This funding will enable the company to further enhance its infrastructure and solidify its position in facilitating certified low-carbon energy, all while offering competitive pricing, forward price certainty, and flexible contract terms that benefit its customers. Moreover, the capital infusion will support Etana’s ability to provide bankable long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) to IPPs, managing critical functions such as electricity bill allocation, settlement with Network Operators, and customer credit risk mitigation.
