Aglomerados Cotopaxi S.A., Ecuador's leading lumber industry with over 30 years of experience, has announced a successful funding round, raising $3,000,000 to bolster its mission of providing sustainable wood product solutions while promoting human development. This significant investment will empower Cotopaxi to enhance its innovative practices in the forestry sector, expanding on its impressive annual production of over 130,000 cubic meters. With an extensive portfolio of 14,000 hectares of forestry assets—of which 11,000 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of radiata and patula pine—Cotopaxi is committed to not only meeting the rising demand for quality wood products but also ensuring responsible environmental stewardship. The remaining 20% of their land is designated for the preservation of native ecosystems, thereby protecting hydrographic basins and fostering biodiversity.
