We are thrilled to announce that The Bridge Project has successfully raised $35,000,000 to further advance our pioneering guaranteed income program and expand our impact in the New York City community. Since our launch in June 2021 by The Monarch Foundation, our mission has been clear: to scale a simple, innovative, and empowering solution to poverty and inequality by providing low-income mothers with consistent, unconditional financial support during the critical first 1,000 days of their children’s lives. This significant infusion of capital will enable us to enhance our existing services in neighborhoods such as Washington Heights, Inwood, Central Harlem, East Harlem, South Bronx, and Central Bronx, while also exploring opportunities to serve additional communities facing similar challenges. As New York City’s first guaranteed income initiative, The Bridge Project is committed to reducing the financial stress on families and empowering mothers to invest in their children’s early development.
