Borders & Southern Petroleum Secures $2.2M Funding Boost for Falkland Islands Exploration Success

Borders & Southern Petroleum plc is excited to announce that it has successfully raised $2,200,000 in its latest funding round, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing journey to unlock the vast potential of the oil and gas reserves in the Falkland Islands. As an independent oil and gas exploration company, our operations are primarily focused on the South Atlantic, where we hold three strategic production licenses spanning approximately 10,000 square kilometers. These licenses, situated about 150 kilometers southeast of the Falkland Islands, form the cornerstone of our exploration efforts in this promising region. The funds raised will be instrumental in accelerating our exploration and development initiatives, particularly in the Darwin reservoir. This Early Cretaceous shallow marine sandstone formation, characterized by two adjacent tilted fault blocks—Darwin East and Darwin West—offers tremendous promise in enhancing our production capabilities and overall resource recovery prospects. With this new capital, Borders & Southern Petroleum plc aims to intensify seismic surveys, deploy advanced drilling technologies, and expand our data acquisition efforts to better understand the subsurface geology and optimize our extraction methods.
