Born out of over 15 years of rigorous academic research in some of the UK’s leading universities, 4Degra® is a patent-protected, resorbable photocurable resin founded on unique polycarbonate urethane chemistry. This innovative material liberates device design from historical limitations and tackles the clinical shortcomings of conventional materials such as PLA, PCL, and PLGA. With this funding, our team will expedite the development and market introduction of the first generation of devices manufactured from 4Degra®—a range of interference screws built for soft tissue-bone fixation, targeted for a US market launch in early 2026. The investment also supports the exploration of additional applications, including minimally invasive surgical devices like meshes, stents, and soft tissue scaffolds, as well as devices designed for high mechanical demands such as trauma fixation plates and load-bearing bone regeneration scaffolds.
