In an inspiring new chapter of its mission, Inspiring Girls Expeditions is thrilled to announce that we have secured $36,000 in funding, a vital boost that will enable us to expand our transformative programs. At Inspiring Girls Expeditions, we believe that all young women deserve the opportunity to be curious about the world around them, and our work is dedicated to empowering them through immersive experiences in science, art, and wilderness exploration. Every summer, we carefully select teams of nine high school girls who join us for twelve unforgettable days in remote wilderness settings. Our expeditions are distinctive in that they are led by an all-female instructor team comprised of professional scientists, artists, and wilderness guides, serving as dynamic role models and mentors. This latest infusion of capital will be instrumental in enhancing our existing expeditions and developing new programs that further break down barriers for young women seeking adventure and knowledge. Currently, our array of experiences includes thrilling mountaineering adventures with Girls on Ice programs in Alaska, Cascades, Switzerland, and Canada, heart-pounding kayaking adventures with Girls on Water and Girls in Icy Fjords, as well as empowering rock climbing expeditions through our Girls on Rock initiative. The funds will be used to improve safety measures, expand outreach efforts, and integrate additional educational modules that combine environmental, artistic, and scientific learning. With this significant financial milestone, Inspiring Girls Expeditions looks forward to building on our legacy of nurturing curiosity and leadership, ensuring that even more young women can step confidently into the wild, explore new frontiers, and emerge as the innovators of tomorrow.
